Interviews: Savage Logic

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Djent/Progressive Metal band Savage Logic from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name was directly inspired by the song NM156 by Queensrÿche. The line was, "Is logic just a synonym for this savagery disguised in forgotten lost memory. It's a really cool song about artificial intelligence.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I love music that has power. Metal music is also great because you can do so much artistically. In some ways, breaking convention is itself conventional in metal. And of course, I love the guitars!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well as the only member of the band I guess yeah, I know myself well enough.

4. Each band member favorite band?

So many bands, but these come to mind: Megadeth, In Flames, Petra, Barnabas, Tony MacAlpine, Sacred Warrior, Becoming The Archetype

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I really love being creative in just about any form but music is so deeply important to me that it is my favorite for of creativity.

6. Where was your last gig?

Unfortunately Savage Logic has not played any shows yet. Soon. . .

7. Where would you like to act?

I'd be up for playing anywhere people want to hear my music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of my favorite bands I suppose.

9. Whom not?

Well, I guess I'm up for playing with just about anybody. I'm not sure I'd turn anybody down unless they were a total jerk to me.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Performing on stage is something that has to be practiced like anything else. Just like practicing drums or guitar, the first time you play probably won't be your best. Just take a deep breath and do the best you can. You'll be fine!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Queensrÿche of course along with all of my previously mentioned favorites. And basically, any band that has done a concept/story album.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing too outlandish. While playing in another band, I once signed someone's bible.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are obviously the most intelligent, cultured, beautiful, radiant and transcendent beings currently calling this planet home.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think it's awesome that you guys are helping bands get heard! And of course, you interview the best bands.
