Interviews: Arrival Of Autumn

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band Arrival Of Autumn from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our drummer Ty came up with it, it’s inspired by an Opeth song and we felt it was the one.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Metal music was the first genre that really spoke to me, and made me feel something. It’s been a constant positive aspect in my life for a long time now. So when the band came together it wasn’t even a discussion, we knew what we were there to do.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Brendan, our guitar player, and I met when we were 11 or so. We both got our first guitar around the same time and we learned how to write songs together.  I met Ty when we were 16, we played in a thrash band for a few months together right before we formed AOA.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Jamison - Metallica

Ty - Alice In Chains

Brendan - Death

Kevin - Muse

Ryan - Black Sabbath

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

There’s a lot in daily life that inspires me to write. If I have a negative experience with someone, I find writing a song with that inspiration helps me deal with said experience. It clears the negativity from my mental space and allows me to replace it with something more positive. And then performing the song is an almost therapeutic experience.

6. Where was your last gig?

Los Angeles at the Whiskey A Go Go with Soulfly. It was incredible.

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere! I think we can bring our show to each continent with enough hard work.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I think featuring on a Black Dahlia Murder track would be a lot of fun.

9. Whom not?

Honestly I’m open to just about everything. I’d even feature on a country song.  Although I would avoid featuring with a band that has a history of hate, racism, etc.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Honestly from the start we were all quite comfortable on stage. Just be confident.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Metallica and Bullet For My Valentine, but that’s just me. Each of us sort of has a different taste in the grand scheme of heavy music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

$100

13. What do you think of your fans?

Amazing people, everyone is nice and stoked to be at a metal show having fun.

14. What do you think of our site?

it’s beautiful! A great way for fans to get an inside look at some great metal protects.

15. Something add?

Thanks for having me! Make sure to catch us on tour with In Flames this winter and stream our new album Harbinger now!
