Band Biographies: Avalanche

Avalanche formed in March 2018 in Sydney, Australia, rehearsing and playing in an old steel factory after hours, joined by their mutual love for the Australian rock scene playing covers of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and Stevie Wright, they soon found their sound and started hitting the local pub scene with a set-list of blistering original material, often playing 1-2 shows a week.

They were greeted to a widespread positive response from both young and old alike, and since they’re 2 official single releases last year, have played over 30 live shows in under 10 months, and had they’re music featured on over 40 radio stations and online podcasts both nationally and internationally. Steadily gaining the respect and adoration off they’re peers, Avalanche continue to secure a growing list of fans, radio plays, and followers across social media.

May 1st has seen the release of their debut double-ep, SENT FROM HELL, a wild and raw rock n’ roll debut about sin, sex and damnation, with a combination of 4 studio recordings and 4 multi-track live recordings, and a series of shows booked out until the end of July to promote it. The EP has already seen a massive response and garnered much attention for it’s young, gutsy raw-rock style, with growing Spotify plays, playlist inclusions, reviews, and 35+ features in national & international publications, including Happy Mag and VENTS Magazine.

“If you’re a fan of all those old Aussie bands… If you just like good old down home dirty sounding rock n’ roll… you are going to trip out on Avalanche ” - Rock-n-Review USA

Avalanche have officially signed with Sliptrick Records to bring SENT FROM HELL to an international audience, and are planning a Sydney/Melbourne tour for end of year. They have been invited to record their next project at The Grove Studios in Somersby, an internationally renowned recording facility designed and built by Garry Gary Beers from the legendary band INXS.

Avalanche continue at a pace that shows no sign of slowing down; professional, reliable and hardworking, this is a band you won't soon forget.
