Interviews: Remember The Monsters

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Remember The Monsters from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Coming up with original band names is difficult in this day and age. We thought it sounded good and rolled off the tongue pretty well! Turns out, it's also the name of the series finale of Dexter.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love catchy, high energy music that's well produced and can be enjoyed by everyone. We enjoy making it and, so far, people seem to enjoy listening it!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all actually met and came together because of the band, not knowing each other before. But we get along great and enjoy hanging out outside of music-related activities!

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

A lot of our music is inspired by the curve balls life throws at us. Internal struggles, relationships, things you want to say but can't - Relatable things that everyone goes through at one point or another. We want every song to make you feel the emotion.

5. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was back in our hometown of Tucson, AZ. Very fun show!

6. Where would you like to act?

We actually have quite a few fans overseas, so we'd love to play in the U.K. or Netherlands.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

We incorporate several elements of different genres into our music, so we would love to collaborate with people outside the Rock genre, singers like Halsey or Billie Eilish. Honestly we'd be open to working with anyone interested and who appreciates what we're doing.

8. Whom not?

I (Dom) don't think we're in a position to turn anyone away! If it fits and vibes well we're open to anything.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Oh, there's always nerves, especially with the first show. Our previous singer had an anxiety attack and almost didn't do the first show! The best thing you can do is practice until you have your stuff down, and start small. Play a house show with friends or a small venue. Then just have fun with it! 10. What bands have inspired you the most? High energy bands that put on great performances, like AFI and Coheed & Cambria. Also bands that aren't afraid to try new things, like Bring Me the Horizon.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We had someone at our show ask us to hold on our set so they could propose to their girlfriend. We were perfectly ok with it - congrats to them!

12. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are amazing, we recently discovered TikTok and see that people have been making pretty cool videos using our music. We watch all of them. Fans like that are the reason why we do what we do!

13. What do you think of our site?

Very well done and visually engaging! It was fun to look around and you guys have great content on here!

14. Something you’d like to add?

Thank you everyone for your support, it truly means a lot to us! Check out Remember the Monsters on all the social media, and stay tuned... We're just getting started!
