Interviews: MASS MURDER

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Brutal Death Metal band MASS MURDER from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

First of all, we would say thank you to give us the possibility of say something about us! The band's name came from the idea to make something of brutal, something that sounds good and aggressive, Mass Murder was the first thing that I thought.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We come from different musical esperiences, as classic, jazz, flamenco, rock etc, but we think this way that we chose is the best way of expression for the themes we want to talk about, we feel free to mix music and lyrics using rage based from life experiences, with Brutal Death Metal we can say what usually we can't say evryday.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, before the project was born I knew just the bassist Aurora Corcio because she is my sister, and then I met the drummer Alessandro Sarni and at the last the vocalist Aldo Gorgoglione.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We all love Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Nile, Morbid Angel, Fleshgod Apocalipse, Hideus Divinity, Gojira, Fallujah, Meshuggah, Cattle Decapitation, Origin, and more

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usually inspires me the real experiences that i see everyday, I use to looking around what people are using to do, for exeample how the world and the life are growing with technology, how the people interact with other people, and especially what they are able to do to reach their objects ! Inchoerence, injustice, traitors, cowardice, all bad things that man and woman use to do when they must have something of material.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was The LOWLANDS DEATH FEST, after that I had to freeze the project because I had to find a new line-up, now we are back with a new album and we are ready to play again on gigs !!!

7. Where would you like to act?

We would play our music all around the world, on the smallest and biggest Brutal Death Metal scenes!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would really love to share the stage with our favourite bands that we mentioned before, that would be a great experience as a dream.

9. Whom not?

To be honest, we don't have any band that we don't want to feature with, because is always nice to share music, it is always a good way to improve from new experiences, that helps to open the mind! But we prefer to play our music in Brutal Death Metal gigs.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No, maybe just a bit of anxiety due to adrenaline, but it is normal must be like that or you don't love what you are going to do! We can suggest to everyone if you want to do something like that you should do it just if you love it, and if that makes you satisfied! About stage will help a good soundcheck and good general quality, then just play your music and enjoy it!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Cannibal Corpse and Cryptopsy.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We get many weird questions and proposal, but the weirdest thing that personally I get was that one fan asked me to have a son with her because she wanted to have one son like me... that makes me a bit confused and speechless as worried !!!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We just love who supports us and we are really grateful for that, they are the sense of our hard work and sacrifices. Sometimes it is very hard to go ahead but suddenly we think about how many people follow and support us and that makes us always ready to do our best!

14. What do you think of our site?

Here was a great site where extreme music was very present, full of great gigs and very good events. Unfortunately nowadays it is not more like that, here we have just a few scenes still alive, and usually, there is not one slot for each band, and that is the reason why the metal scene is going down here in Italy. We think we are full of great Italian metal bands, and we are proud to be one of the band that is still active!

15. Something add?

We would say thanks to Sliptrick Records to trust on us and on our new album, and to everyone that supports and will support us! We are back, with a new album cared for in every detail, with riffs, sounds, and brutal themes! We want to do great things, we will do our best for all people that have always trust on us, with the mission to make proud the Italian metal scene! Greetings from Italy. Stay Brutal!
