Behind The Tracks: PORN - A Lovely Day (Single) (2020)

A lovely day is the third song of our upcoming album No Monsters in God's Eyes-Act III. And the 23rd of Mr. Strangler Trilogy. The entire Trilogy can be seen as a triple album.

In this final act of Mr. Strangler Trilogy, the convicted serial killer Mr. Strangler is facing his death, imprisoned and waiting for his execution while also being studied by psychiatrists. Even though he knows he is doomed, Mr. Strangler is escaping his cell mentally, trying to figure out how he can physically escape and get his revenge. For him, if there is a will, there is a way and that's why for him it is a lovely day.

This is a song about hope and perseverance. A little hope can enlighten a miserable day. The song was composed during the first session of the Trilogy, in 2017. From the start, I knew that this song will be part of the third and final Act. The idea was to blend despair and hope in the same song. Building something heavy as a prison wall during the verse with this massive riff, and an epic chorus able to break walls! 

Sometimes you can struggle during the writing process or the mixing session, with a song. With a Lovely day, we did not have this kind of problem. Everything was cool, like evidence. We enjoyed all the process.

The song seems to have some success, so far. We are very happy.
