Interviews: Bleed The Sky

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Bleed The Sky from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It really wasn't planned, we just thought it sounded cool at the time but in retrospect it's really kind of dumb haha!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We collectively have always loved metal, all of our lives. We all love different types of music along with metal, but we definitely enjoy writing metal more than other genres. It's a very therapeutic genre, we love being able to vent both mentally and physically!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Our original guitarist Kyle Moorman and I were friends before we formed, but the rest of us just met through being in the scene. It was all really just random luck, but it worked out well for us!

4. Each band member favourite band?

David Culbert - Pantera

Kevin Garcia - Faith No More

Austin D'Amond - Alice In Chains

Noah Robinson - Deftones

Wayne Miller - King's X

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I get a lot of my writing inspiration from watching movies. I love watching movies with dark themes and interesting movie scores. I try to tap into some of those emotions when conveying my lyrics into music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was in Oklahoma City back in February of 2009.

7. Where would you like to act?

I would love to do a tour in Australia! I've heard the crowds there are awesome.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Our ideal band to tour with would Meshuggah!

9. Whom not?

Katie Perry

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I personally suffer from stage fright every single night. I don't really feel relaxed until about 30 seconds into the first song. Some guys try to focus on just on the person and play the entire set to just that one person. I don't think there's any way to fully eliminate that feeling, it's just more learning to perform with the feeling. Accept that people are there to support you and give them a great show, it never fails!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Most metal written from 1994 to 2004. That 10 years produced the most insanely good metal that influenced an entire generation of future metalheads!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I always think it's weird when fans ask for something that's really sweaty or gross from on stage.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are arguably the most devoted and loyal fans out there. They have been patient enough to wait for 10 years between records and still support us! We love our fans eternally!

14. What do you think of our site?

I love the detailed selection of genres on your site! Makes it easy for people to find exactly what they're looking for.

15. Something add?

Thank you so much for opportunity!
