Interviews: BEEA

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock/Pop artist BEEA from Portugal. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the artist name, you planned it or came out just like that?

My real name is Beatriz and everyone calls me Bea. I just added a second "e" to make it stand out.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

That's an interesting question, especially because I enjoy singing a few different types of music. I guess it was just what I thought suit me and my voice the best, and also a reflection of my biggest influences.

3. Your favourite band?

My Chemical Romance! I am beyond excited to see them in London in June.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Most of my inspiration comes from my life experience and stuff I've been through. So far all my lyrics are extremely personal and helped me get stuff out of my system and move on with my life. It's like therapy to me.

5. Whom would you like to feature in one of your songs?

I would love to collaborate with Lights, my favourite singer. That would be a dream come true!

6. Whom not?

Any rapper, I guess. I'm just not into Hip Hop at all.

7. What bands have inspired you the most?

Definitely PVRIS, Tonight Alive and Against The Current.

8. What do you think of your fans?

It's so weird to hear the word "fan"! Feels so surreal to me. I am beyond grateful for every single person who has listened to my songs, went to my shows, commented on my posts or bought my merch. I always try to answer to everyone and make them realize that I really appreciate everything they've done for me.

9. What do you think of our site?

To be honest, I didn't know about your site/project up until now, so it was a very nice finding! What you guys are doing is pretty incredible and it's amazing seeing so much support from a platform like yours, helping so many small bands and artists. I also enjoyed the fact that you have a "countries" section, that can be very interesting if you're searching for new music from your country.

10. Anything to add?

I have two amazing upcoming shows: I'll be playing in Paris on March 5th with Oakman, Two Trains Left and Atlas For Home and in Lisbon on March 19th with We Bless This Mess. Just check my Facebook and Instagram, and you can find all the details pretty easily! 2 archivos adjuntos
