Interviews: Lutharö

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Power Metal/Death Metal band Lutharö from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name Lutharo came from our love of “Lord of the rings” as this is an Elvish word meaning “the enchanter”.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We chose to play metal not only because it is our favourite genre to listen to, but also because of what it represents. Metal embodies power, liberation, truth and so much more, all of which makes us honoured to be apart of its community.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Victor Bucur and Krista Shipperbottom knew each other from high school, everyone else joined after the band was formed.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Victor - Arch Enemy

Krista - Black Sabbath

John - Metallica

Duval - Intronaut

Chris - Unleash The Archers

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It’s hard to pin point exactly where the inspiration comes from. Obviously we take influence from some of our other favourite artists but ultimately our music is formed based on emotions and creative spontaneity.

6. Where was your last gig?

Oddly enough, our last gig was in a Thai restaurant in Guelph Ontario.

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere we can. (Wacken)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Arch Enemy, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Behemoth, Jinjer and many others!

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Krista seems to be the only one who really suffers from stage fright but only usually before the performance. Once the first song starts adrenaline kicks in and she’s good to go.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Arch Enemy, Metallica, Unleash The Archers, Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth and many more.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Hard to say, their requests have been pretty normal... so far...

12. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are amazing! They have always been super enthusiastic and supportive. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them!

13. What do you think of our site?

We think the site is great! Any website that keeps metal alive is something we will always support.
