Interviews: YES I AM SICK

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band YES I AM SICK from Ukraine. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

About the idea for the band we can tell people in the future. Nowadays it’s going on special secret.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We’re writing some new songs, and even we can’t tell you in what genre:) of course first of all it’s metal. We think it’s most expressive and full of emotions. None of another styles of music can be so variative and deep. It consists of agression and calm, passion and serenity, love and hate at the same fucking time! How can u not love it?! 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

It’s secret. In the future tell you.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Jullian’s favorite band is Pantera, Dima’s favorite band is Asking Alexandria, Jonathan’s favorite band is Deadlock, Artur’s favorite band is Tool. 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We don’t have like a "muse" which is a person or subject. Music comes from the deepest corners of our souls, whenever there’s a good mood or a drama in our hearts, everything can be used as inspiration. We try to keep such moments in life and transform them into music. It’s working not that good:) but we’re trying our best and someday we will touch your heart too.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last gig was in Kiev.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to act all over the world: Europe, USA, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Australia and other countries. Festivals: Wacken Open Air, Rock Am Ring, Download fest and other biggest festivals.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It will be amazing if we can record instrumental track feat Ozzy Ozbourne or James Hetfield)) And our dreams are live shows with Slipknot, Metallica, Korn, Deftones, Rammstein, Tool, Asking Alexandria.

9. Whom not?

We didn’t think about it.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No one. For beginners, we have some advice. Drinking enough beer, smoking some fucking weed and relaxing. It’s not a joke. But seriously you must remember, why do you make this music? for whom? and what’s your purpose? 

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

We all love music but progressive music, such bands as Periphery, Meshuggah, Asking Alexandria, Animals as Leaders and other aggressive bands.   But most of all we inspired by our compatriots Jinjer. They are first metal band from Ukranie which have such succsess. Nowadays metal goes for a new level? cause of them. We thank them and hope we will met them on stage soon. 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

The weirdest thing that our fan asked was can we show our dicks?

13. What do you think of your fans?

Nowadays we have some fans from Netherlands and Brazil. Some fans from Germany, Great Britain. And of course from our country - Ukraine. We are really grateful to our fans, all of them are listening good stuff)) We have few fans. 

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s cool. A lot of information about underground metal music. We need promotion all of us)
