Interviews: The Huntrs

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band The Huntrs from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Eric Boyce: Our band name originated one drunken night after hanging at the river toad hunting. It has altered since its original formation to a shorter version that is now, The Huntrs.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Eric Boyce: I grew up listening to country and rock and roll but for almost 15 years I only played metal music. My mother had never seen me perform and requested I play an original country/rock and roll song. We performed it at a local talent show in Petersburg Virginia and received a standing ovation. We loved it so much we never quit.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Eric Boyce: No, we did not know each other. Music has its way of bringing people together.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Eric Boyce: All Shall Perish

Mario Crawley: Shinedown

Stephen Zaruba: Every time I Die

Shannon Plumley: Aerosmith

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Stephen Zaruba: I enjoy the overall process of starting a new song idea from scratch and being able to take it to the stage.

6. Where was your last gig?

Stephen Zaruba: Another Round Bar and Grill Richmond Virginia

7. Where would you like to act?

Stephen Zaruba: Cherrystone Compound.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Stephen Zaruba: Upchurch or Brantley Gilert .

9. Whom not?

Eric Boyce: We are open to all collaboration ideas

10. Any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Eric Boyce: Defiant! I can't see without glasses, so when I'm playing in front of large crowds I take them off so I can't see them. I channel anxiety and fear into fuel to play as best as possible for my performances

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Eric Boyce: The Doors, Led Zeplin, and ZZ top.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Mario Crawley: One time at a show, some dude yelled out "Hey will you sign my tits"!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Eric Boyce: We wouldn't have the motivation to do what we do without them

14. What do you think of our site?

Eric Boyce: It's great to see them professionally support artists
