Interviews: Igloo

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band Igloo from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We tend to explore melancholic, cold and desolate soundscapes. We failed to conjure up anything more cold and desolate than an igloo.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I'm still unsure as to what genre our sound fits into.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Unfortunately not.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Mark - Placebo

Will - Machine Head

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Songs come easiest when you're not concentrating on a specific element. We flowe best when we are alone in the studio.

6. Where was your last gig?

Fat Fox - Portsmouth

7. Where would you like to play?

Royal Alber Hall

8. Who would you like to support?

Machine Head.

9. Who not?

Taylor Swift

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We both have. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Practice till you know your part backwards and then get out there and perform, even if it's just friends or family.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Placebo, Arcane Roots, Muse.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Their 45 minutes back......
