Band Biographies: CRYOSPHERE

The music evokes an inner picture of a windswept winter landscape, barren, bitter and with a single red rose in bloom, defiant in the face of its own annihilation.

In theory, CRYOSPHERE's lyrical universe is extremely simple: The narratives act as mirrors that are held up before the listener, where we are forced to consider everything that we otherwise wouldn’t.

In practice, it is much more complex: good and evil merge together in the final battle, and from the ashes an assortment of emotions come to life.

CRYOSPHERE is a unique Danish metal band from 2016. They have managed to create a sound universe that is rarely seen in Denmark. In terms of genre, they are somewhere between symphonic metal and hardcore, placed in their own musical playground with room for sheer emotion. Their universe is especially unique due to the band's two dedicated vocalists, who adds an interesting diversity in the vocal universe because of their contrasting strengths and techniques. This allows for the incorporation of vocals from all parts of the spectrum: from dark animalistic screams to the velvety soft and sirenic voice.

CRYOSPHERE's true genre remains an extraordinary thing, as the music contains elements from several genres that are elegantly interwoven. This, of course, complicates a simple genre determination of CRYOSPHERE. But of common elements these are notable: Metalcore, doom, symphonic, and progressive metal. CRYOSPHERE released their first EP in 2019, which was a compilation of all the singles they had released earlier, as well as a new version of the song "Reflections". In December 2019, they reissued the song "Nevermore", which was originally their very first track, but had so far only been released as a demo in 2017.

CRYOSPHERE has plans for more releases in 2020.
