Interviews: Pain

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band Pain, from India. Check out the interview and this amazing band.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Pain is a concept that we as humans share the pain and the sky together, so I wanted to unite this pain, the sky we all share through music. Which leads to the band being called Pain and the title track called the cycle of hate because in today’s times you can see that people sometimes hurt other people because someone did the same to them. It can be intentional or unintentional but it's happening and the cycle of hate continues there is no stop to it because certain people don’t know.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We wanted to keep the creative and the composition process boundless and our sound to be different and intriguing. Expect the unexpected as our songs are not based on conventional song patterns or structure. It’s technical yet melodic at the same time with a little touch of madness!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we all did except for Abhisheek Balooni as we were part of different bands and projects but not together as a unit yet.

4. Each band member favorite band?

They would be Slayer , Lamb of God , Cannibal Corpse , Viel of maya Slipknot , Animals as Leaders and Meshuggah.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The creative freedom and ability to compose metal music drives me to write more and more songs,

6. Where was your last gig?

My last gig was in 2016 when we were pre0promoting the album and played bleed live with our setlist as well. It was amazing.

7. Where would you like to perform?

If I would get a chance I would like to perform at Rock am Ring and Download festival.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

It’s a tough question every one of my idol bands I grew up listening to.

9. Whom not?

Any artist who doesn’t like sharing a stage with us.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

During the early phase, I think everyone has stage fright but it goes away after a couple of gigs. Try to warm up a little and take a couple of deep breaths before going to the stage. The butterflies in the stomach always exist every time you stand on the stage when the curtains fall.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Megadeth, slipknot and Marilyn Mason helped me in terms of understanding structures of different styles of metal music and especially the lyrics.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Do you want to see a magic trick?

13. What do you think of your fans?

Wherever they are and when they listen to my music it is grateful to know someone out there likes listening to it.

14. What do you think of our site?

I feel your site is great for giving artists and bands like us to be able to express more about our music and the reason behind the music. It is truly appreciated.
