Interviews: LAKESHORE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band LAKESHORE from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Ben and Joe grew up on Lakeshore North and the rest is history.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Every one of us used to be in heavier bands prior to Lakeshore and we wanted to try something new while also returning to our roots, rock n roll.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I (Jesse) met Ben and Joe in 2015 to see if we clicked and we did. We wrote about 20 songs under the name XS, shot a video and then I left because of personal reasons for lack of better words. I worked things out and then we got back together for the writing of Secret Weapons. I continued to pursue producing and writing for projects and we eventually just all felt that the chemistry we had since the beginning was too special to let go of it.

Jesse: Misery Signals

Joe: Badflower

Ben: Stone Temple Pilots

Chris: Rage Against the Machine 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It's more like what doesn’t haha. Art imitates life, and we write about individual experiences sometimes, group experiences sometimes, and at times we write about observations. There are times when you just dream up a story and want to tell it through your music.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was back in January at the Diesel in Detroit. 

7. Where would you like to act?

In stadiums!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Young Blood and Jonathan Davis

9. Whom not?

Pepé Le Pew

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

I think we’ve all always felt at home on stage. It’s like a muscle or anything in life, practice makes perfect. Just keep going for it , face your fears. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Stone Temple Pilots, Aerosmith and KoRn

We love them all! Without them none of this is possible.
