Band Biographies: Hilltops Are For Dreamers

Hilltops Are For Dreamers are an ambitious project that took shape and form in London around 2018. The goal is to create influential and well played music following the vision of a -no-boundaries-physical or not-world where people connect with our sounds of existence.

The sound of the band is influenced by the post-hardcore scene, combining elements from blues to metal.

The band self-released their first EP in February 2020 and received a number of positive reviews.

They are currently composing and recording a full album with a plan to release in autumn.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, they have released an acoustic version of their single ‘You Are Not Alone’- see video link below-and recorded a split digital-record with a fellow band from Patras, Greece.

Their next steps are to make the band known, have a fan base so they can get ready for live shows with a full line up in place.

The band has created music to deliver a positive message with a heavy attitude.
‘Music from their souls - to absorb and consume in a positive spirit. UK's sweet melancholy and Greece's laid back attitude in one.’

Few words for the digital split-EP ‘A Transition’:

Release Date: 31 July 2020 (self-financed)

Hilltops Are For Dreamers (HAFD) have worked with Repent For Joy on this joint 4-track EP that ties together the old-school tradition of split records with a fresh sound that represents 'a transition' to a new musical era.

Hilltops Are For Dreamers are proud to have Michael Enger (Beyond The Barricade, Norway) on vocals. The 2 songs included in this release are the band’s statement of an intermediate stage between their first EP (released Feb 2020) and their upcoming full length album in autumn 2020. The band will also release a music video for the song ‘The Tide’ on the same date, 31 July 2020.

Repent For Joy, featuring Dionysus (HAFD, Celene) & Nikos Souris (Hope Thinks Infinite) are here to present their melodeath (with a post touch) sound in 2 compositions of pure melody and heaviness. They are coming from Patras, Greece. They combine elements of melodic death metal keeping a post-hardcore character at times. This is their first official release.
