Interviews: Deathnoisefrequency

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Rock band, Deathnoisefrequency, from Saudi Arabia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We planned for it, we had many options ahead when we started the names game, we wanted something that reflects the sound of the band, Deathnoisefrequency won eventually!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We thought it’s something a bit unique and we hadn’t heard anything really close to this style plus it was something we wanted to try to see how it may sound when it gets together, we love Doom metal, noise rock, experimental rock, psychedelic rock, and Jazz so we thought of adding an element from each genre, yeah that was the basic idea.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we play in a Doom Death band called Grieving Age since 2003. We pretty understand each other.

4. Each band member favourite band?

There are many but we can sum up the top:

Ghassan: Sigur Ros, The Cure, Anathema, and My Dying Bride.

Ahmed: The Cure, Anathema, My Dying Bride, Triptykon, Celtic Frost, Dark Fortress, Chet Baker, Miles Davis, The Twilight Sad, Radiohead, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Sonic Youth, John Chance, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Beach Boys, Shostakovich, Beethoven, Erik Satie, Mozart, Bach, Brahms and many more.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well, mostly dark novels, stories, and classical symphonies

6. Where was your last gig?

Unfortunately, we hadn’t played any.

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere in the world, we don’t mind playing anywhere as long as the audience would appreciate this kind of music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Many! The Cure on top of the list for sure, which is impossible lol, so realistically speaking, Triptykon, Anathema, and My Dying Bride.

9. Whom not?

Anyone who our music doesn’t relate to.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really, but yeah, usually the first 10 mins are a bit scary but then you get over it, special tips: close your eyes if it helps! Focus on a blind point and secretly communicate with it till you get calm.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Cure!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We still on our earliest days so nothing weird till now.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We absolutely love them! Appreciate their support and understanding of our music.

It rocks!

Can’t wait for our debut album’s release end of this year to share with everyone, it’s pretty solid efforts, we put our hearts and soul in it.
