Interviews: In/Vertigo

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band, In/Vertigo, from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We didn't plan the name at all, it just sort of happened. I think one of the reasons we all jumped on board was cause it didn't really mean anything concrete, so from a musical perspective we weren't bound to any sort of genre or type of Rock.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I think Rock n Roll is an attitude, what it means to us is freedom and not doing whatever is popular or "in" so we all just gravitated around loud aggressive yet melodic music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We knew each other cause we were all playing on the scene but the band formed rather suddenly, it was pretty unexpected, and once we began working together things evolved very quickly.

4. Each band member favorite band?

That's hard to say, I can give you top 3, Led Zeppelin, Guns n' Roses and anything Chris Cornell was in.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The everyday happenings of life, we just write about what we see or what is happening in our cerebrum.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was a live stream we did in our basement with some of our longest and most devoted fans, before that we did a charity gig at a bar the week before everything shut down.

7. Where would you like to act?

We love to tour Europe and South America.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to tour with any of our heroes, Ozzy or Rage, or Foo Fighters.

9. Whom not?

Duran Duran is a no go.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all suffer through a bit of stage fright, or anxiety, but once we hit the first chord it disappears. We use liquid courage to get over the hump but I wouldn't recommend that to a beginner.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Right now, I really enjoy Foo Fighters and how Dave Grohl overcame so much tragedy, Jimmy Page has an amazing legacy, and Slash's work ethic has kept him relevant all these years.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To sign their face.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're great, they're a reflection of the band, absolutely wild and unkempt.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is great, love all the support for rock n roll bands.
