Interviews: Meridian Dawn

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band, Meridian Dawn, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I had it from many titles and lyric ideas I scratch down. A dawn of the subsolar point.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The raw energy and emotion of it all.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. Nick and I met through mutual friends and hit it off right from the start. Both of us have a strong Greek family background in common as well.

4. Each band member favourite band?

There are so many to mention. We listen to everything from Morbid Angel to Björk, or At The Gates to Kent for example.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everyday life and the dark experiences it brings.

6. Where was your last gig?

Manila, Philippines

7. Where would you like to act?

EVERYWHERE!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Would love to tour with Kataklysm, Opeth, Meshuggah, again too many to mention!

9. Whom not?

Anyone who tells you they’ll pull your sound for drinking the wrong water bottle (laughs)!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I have never actually. Best advice would be to drinks some beers before and then fuck’em up!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Same bands as our favorites!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If they could have my shoes

They fuck’n RULE!
