Track By Tracks: In/Vertigo - Sex, Love And Chaos (2020)

1. Chains:

This track was a pivotal moment for our songwriting. We wanted to delve into the darker side of what we do and it represents a relationship fueled on lust. This was a song that set the tone for the EP.

2. Bad Enemy:

I think this was something that we always wanted to experiment with, the whole stop and go, call and response between the vocals and the band. It's about a fan altercation gone wrong on tour, and while we can't go into detail we'll leave the rest to the imagination.

3. The Night:

Living where we live, the suits and ties used to run the city, and while they'd be professional at the office, come Tuesday night they were unloading the company card and fucking the whole town. Reed would be better explaining it from a lyrical perspective but I always took it as when midnight rolls around on a night out, someone else is steering the ship, and things can get pretty dark when there's no control.

4. Take It:

This was one of the first songs we ever wrote, it always takes me back to our first couple times jamming together, and it's important to remember where it all started. It tells a story about a relationship on its final legs, and how to pick up the pieces when it's all said and done.
