Interviews: Incinerate

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Death Metal band, Incinerate, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We wanted a name that we felt wouldnt pigeon hole us into one sound or lyrical concept. So we felt Incinerate would allow us to write about, gore, irreligious material or even Science fiction should we choose. A band like say Nile is kinda forced to stick to the same subject matter where I can do anything I want.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I grew up listening to thrash and there was always a push to play faster and heavier. When I figured out how to do the vocals it was just a natural progression.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I had answered an add in the local paper to form the band. From there it had been friends of friends or just extremely talented musicians that I respected that we brought into the fold. 4. Each band member favourite band? Mine (Jesse) is Anthrax, Jared said Skid Row, Ted -Disgorge and Sasha stated either Vader or Iniquity.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Each of our albums have had a set lyrical theme and we try to change it up each time. Dissecting was an attempt to basically mix Deicide type satanic imagery with Cannibal Corpse gore. Anatomize was focused on serial killers, Eradicating Terrestrial Species is a concept album based on War Of The World's and now Sacrilegivm is a concept album about Lucifer being removed from heaven and creating a war to come back and take control of heaven.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was a special show for us. The guys all flew in here to Minnesota to do a 1 off show opening up for Immolation before we went into the studio to start recording Sacrilegivm.

7. Where would you like to act?

There's a couple of festivals I really want to play. Obscene Extreme and NRW would be killer. We played the very first MDF so that would be fun to come full circle and do again. Tour wise, Japan has always been a dream and to return to Indonesia and play with a full band would be amazing. Absolutely loved it there.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I would really love to get on a tour with Decrepit Birth or Suffocation. I just feel they have done so much that we could really learn a lot from them.

9. Whom not?

I really don't have a not to play with list.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No stage fright really. I usually have a couple drinks before I go on to help with the nerves. Walking out on stage I have gotten nervous, but once the music starts it all goes away and then I just focus on having fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Immolation, Disgorge, Deeds of Flesh, Guttural Secrete, Brodequin, Putrid Pile... Man there's been a lot. The nice thing about our genre is a lot of us are really tight. Everyone is super cool and shares knowledge and helps each other out

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Our fans are usually very cool and respectful so I can't think of anything off hand.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think our fans are great. I have some that have become very good friends through the years. We see ourselves as one of them. That's been a great thing about this journey. When we go to a show we are there as much to see the other bands play as to perform ourselves. We've always been big fans first and foremost.

14. What do you think of our site?

Pretty cool. a good mix of a lot of forms of metal

15. Something add?

Really hope everyone likes and appreciates Sacrilegivm. We put a lot of hard work and energy into the album. We actively tried to make this album different and unique to anything we've done before. And thank you for the opportunity to do this interview!
