Interviews: Invernoir

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Doom Metal/Melodic Death Metal band, Invernoir, from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It came out like that, I was searching for something pleasant to listen to but very dark and sad at the same time, so I thought to melt Italian and french in one original word.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Because I love it and it really represents me.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, probably are more than 10 years that we knew each other

4. Each band member favourite band?

Anathema of the 90’s for me and Valerio, Swallow the sun for Lorenzo, Katatonia for Flavio

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My life in general but it’s something that I do only when there is a special connection with my inner self.

6. Where was your last gig?

In our Hometown, Rome

7. Where would you like to act?

In a abandoned cemetery

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Anathema, Paradise Lost or My Dying bride, after that I could die happy

9. Whom not?

I’m always open to collaborations but probably I would say no to any stoner act.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Personally not, but the only way that I know to beat something that you are scared of is to face it

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The same bands that I would like to be featured with

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To be honest nothing in particoular, they contact us for merch like every band in the world.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Awesome people who love to listen to spiritual music

14. What do you think of our site?

I think it’s really interesting, I’ve been interviewed on your site also for my solo project Ars Onirica and it was great.

15. Something add?
