Behind The Artworks: Uncle Woe - Phantomescence (2020)

The cover artwork for this album is a pretty abstract piece of art, set in a strange landscape; half airstrip, half water. This is set against a swirling, psychedelic sky. The series of characters present in the landscape represent the various characters and emotions explored within the album’s lyrics and sonic atmosphere. A vaporous, translucent lady-death, a many-tentacled faceless man distributing the cosmos, a pair of serf-like wanderers, and finally a humble fisherman on the brink of some consciousness expanding adventure, populate this somewhat unnerving daydream landscape. Does anyone of them live in that ramshackle stone abode on the horizon?
