Interviews: ARRAYAN PATH

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Power Metal band, ARRAYAN PATH, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name comes from 'El Arrayan'or 'Ar-Rayhan' which is a beautiful flower known also as Myrtle.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

This is the music we always loved playing; melodic and heavy at the same time.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well, the guitarist is my brother so i knew him haha. I knew the other members because they used to play in other local bands. We are a small community so everyone knows each other pretty much.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Mine is Iron Maiden. I know Miguel likes bands like Stratovarius and Alestorm. Our guitarist Christoforos likes Iced Earth and of course Iron Maiden and my brother likes mostly classical music but he also likes prog.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our main inspiration is history and mythology. But we also get inspired by everything happening in the world right now.

6. Where was your last gig?

Remedy club in Athens 1,5 years ago.

7. Where would you like to act?

I would love to play in Italy and Spain but anywhere really.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I would love to open for Iron Maiden or Kamelot.

9. Whom not?

There is no-one in that list.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I am always a little stressed before i go on stage, even after so many years. I don't know, i guess breathing helps. After the first song the stress goes away.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Iron Maiden and the power metal bands from the 90's.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To become a priest for Hindu Goddess Kali. And i did!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Without their support we would not be here!

14. What do you think of our site?

Very well-structured site and very interesting themes and subjects! Keep it up!

15. Something add?

Check our new album 'The Marble Gates to Apeiron' and tell us what you think! Thanks for the interview!
