Interviews: Choke Out

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hardcore band, Choke Out, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We came up with the name back in 2011. We wanted a name that sounded tough.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

When we were younger we used to go to hardcore shows every weekend in our area. We loved the scene and wanted to contribute to it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes seeing as Josh and I are brothers. But Eddie came later. Eddie was a fan before he joined the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tyler: The Acacia Strain

Josh: The Acacia Strain

Eddie: Whitechapel.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We write songs as an outlet for shitty things that have happened in our lives.

6. Where was your last gig?

Pittsfield, Massachusetts at the crossroads.

7. Where would you like to act?

Any venue we can get on. We really just want to hit the road again.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

The Acacia Strain, we're fan boys clearly.

9. Whom not?

There's not really a band nor an act I really despise.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really stage freight but there's like jitters before you play. Don't focus on how many eyes are on you. Stay in the moment and enjoy the energy.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Acacia Strain, Hatebreed, Backtrack, Have Heart, Bury Your Dead and Whitechapel. There's to many more to name.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't been asked anything to weird that's over the top by a fan. We just take most things as jokes but a touring band once had mistaken us for venue staff before so that's sick.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are really supportive of us and the things we do and We really appreciate them.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's pretty cool. It's a good resource for underground music.

15. Something add?

We would like to thank everyone that has supported us and checked out our new music. We are hard at work in the studio recording some new singles that we plan on dropping next year. Follow us on Spotify, Bandcamp, and other streaming platforms and find us on Facebook and Instagram to know when we are dropping more music and where we are playing.
