Interviews: Alexander

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal/Funeral Drone band, Alexander from Germany. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Jorg and I both share the middle name ALEXANDER, so it's our blood connection. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It came naturally of interest, we both love ambient, drone, experimentation and heavy music – so it all combined and here we are.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Yes our other bands toured together – ZAUM and Jealousy Mountain Duo.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life.

5. Where was your last gig?

Shivering Songs Festival in February of 2020 in Fredericton, NB, Canada.

6. Where would you like to act?

I don’t act so this isn’t of interest.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

If I had to, I guess with Jack Black.

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really, but it kind of comes from overthinking. Just enter a mindful headspace and don’t think about it. 

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Rush, Bathory, Melvins

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Some strands of my hair

12. What do you think of your fans?

Love them, they are beautiful souls.

13. What do you think of our site?

Great taste if you’re interested in a feature by a band as far out as we are, Funeral Drone isn’t exactly everyone's cup!
