Interviews: Nightblade

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band, Nightblade, from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was long and monotonous with several contenders that came and went. We felt safe going for Nightblade and that it represented our music at the time.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

All of the original lads were into rock/metal. With today’s line up, we are more alternative rock.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I’ve known Richard since Stourbridge College and the other guys know each other from the gym.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Richard..Pink Floyd. Tim...The Stranglers Sam....Nirvana...Mark...Pearl Jam

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Different scenarios in life and different people are always a good source of inspiration for song writing.

6. Where was your last gig?

Kidderminster Town Hall.

7. Where would you like to play?

Any big stadium would float my boat.

8. Who would you like to support?

Pearl Jam.

9. Who not?

Susan Boyle

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Learn your songs and show immaculately that you don’t want to be on stage dreading a certain part of a song that’s difficult to play. Imagine yourself on stage playing well and the crowd enjoying the show.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden ,Shinedown, Alter Bridge

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To sign her rear end after a gig.

13. What do you think of your fans?

God bless our loyal international fans, they always pop up when we bring out new material.

14. What do you think of our site?

A great catalogue of every sub-genre of rock!!!.some of which I didn’t know existed.

15. Something to add?

Hope the live circuit is back next year
