Behind The Artworks: NO SHADE - Broken Down (2020)

When the artwork for “Broken Down” was being created, I knew I wanted something that would represent the feeling of a mental breakdown. The album art is actually an image of someone having a mental breakdown that was formed into an abstract piece of art. There was blur and color effects added to simulate a more distressed effect to the image but it definitely was the look I was going for. I also knew the artwork should feature lots of red tones to induce the feeling of rage while hearing some of the heavier songs on the EP. The font for “Broken Down” is also the same font used in the artwork for my debut single “Drama” as a small nod to the beginning of NO SHADE.
