Interviews: Arhat


On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Groove Metal band, Arhat from Ukraine. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? You planned it or came out just like that?

Yes, the name was not invented by chance. Arhat means the enlightened one. One who has reached the highest point of perfection. In our opinion, this is exactly what people need to do. The hardest work is to work on yourself.

2. Why did you won't play this genre?

Why not? We love heavy music! We're playing it!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we knew each other from other projects in which we previously participated. But that's a slightly different story.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

It is difficult to single out one band. Each genre has great bands. We have a lot of favorite bands.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Inspires the world around us. Inspires ancient myths and legends. "Inspires" a society with idiotic rules and prohibitions. Self-knowledge is also an inspiration. 

6. Where was your last gig?

The last gig took place in Kyiv. Covid made its own adjustments. Many concerts had to be canceled.

7. Where would you like to act?

We have a daring dream - Wacken Open Air.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Gojira, they are wonderful.

9. Whom not?

There are no such band

10. Any of you has ever sufferend fromstage fight? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

First of all, you need to learn how to play and sing well. The rest will come. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We are inspired by bands such as: Hatebreed, Nile, Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer. There are also many more metal bands, we can list for a long time

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Play Nirvana.

13.What do you think of tour fans?

It's always a fun adventure

14. What do you think of our site?

You are doing very important and very necessary work. You help fans discover new bands. This is really great. Arhat would like to wish you success in your work.
