Interviews: Jeff Pennachio

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal artist, Jeff Pennachio from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I didn’t have a specific title for this EP, so I just branded it under my name. “Setting The Stage” fit the precedent for the music composed quite well.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I actually wasn’t expecting to write this type of music, but the inspiration was definitely there at the time. I started hearing the ideas and had to get home to write them out as soon as possible. These songs turned out cinematic/proggy in nature, and I was overall very happy with the final product. I normally compose for my main progressive metal act Design The Void.

3. Your favourite band?

I honestly have so many favorites.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Inspiration can strike at any time-once I start to hear an idea, I try to just record a rough sketch of it, and then continuously build around it, until I get a structure together. I am then able to build entire songs out of it. The process can take as little as a couple of days to a week’s time.

5. Where was your last gig?

Mechanicville, NY at the Country Club. Really great gig!

6. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere, really. I plan on applying both myself and DTV to a lot of venues once shows really start to open back up.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

Anyone haha! Should I compose more music like this, I definitely want to have Nick Johnston for a feature.

8. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Just keep gigging!!!

9. What bands have inspired you the most?

Definitely Animals as Leaders, Born of Osiris, Circle of Contempt, Dream Theater. Bands like that!

10. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I honestly can’t remember.

11. What do you think of your fans?

All fans are awesome! I’m happy to interact with any of them at any given point in time.

12. What do you think of our site?

You guys have some great featured bands on here! It’s really cool and I plan on sticking around to check out some more groups.

13. Something add?

To keep in touch with me, or just keep up to date with what I’m doing, definitely check out my Facebook page “Jeff Pennachio-Guitarist/Composer.” On there is also a direct link to my website, which I am always updating. I offer a variety of services from composition, individual tracking, featured guitar solos and more! Thanks very much for reading!!!
