Interviews: Tempest Rising

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Originally in the very early days of the band, we had come up with the name "Coming Storm" It was a long time ago but I think it was looking at Stormfront rolling in on the way to rehearsal one day, so we had stuck with that for a little while but not long before we played our first gig, we kept the same meaning but changed it up so sound less "Standard" or "High School Garage" Name

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We all enjoy Metal alot, we all love different genres so with the songs we write they usually have elements, of our fav genres,

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nope this is all pretty much started from the ground up

4. Each band member favourite band?

James: Slayer

Daniel: Pantera

Vin: Korn

Jarrad: Iron Maider

Bill: August Burns Red

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life events and Listening to Music, Me Personally watching Live Concerts and Videos,

6. Where was your last gig?

Our Last show was our Single Launch for our Latest Single Downfall, Here in our Hometown Perth

7. Where would you like to act?

Big Stadiums in America (Even as a Opening Act)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Anyone that's willing to Feature with us haha!! Killswitch engage/ machine Head/ Korn/ Max cavalera

9. Whom not?

Nickelback (Let's be honest we probably would!)

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

None of us have really, Me Personally only times I have got nervous were the very first gig and the very first time we did an international Support. It feels natural, Just rock out and have a good time People are there to listen to music and have a good time, No one is judging you, Crowds feed off the energy, If you are a band that's energetic and move around the stage you can tend to hide the odd mistake!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

For Aussie Bands Parkway Drive is the biggest inspiration and I agree on that, they put in the hard years and got the rewards. Any band that puts in the hard yards inspires me

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing to werid, from me but did here one of the guys said a fan was willing to give his Girlfreind for the night haha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Loyal energic Fun, we interact with them and try to get to know a bit about them, Engaging with Fans will help you in the long run!
