Interviews: VRADEMARGK

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band, VRADEMARGK from Spain. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well, first of all, remark that VRADEMARGK doesn’t have any meaning. We just wanted to have a fancy and unique name that could be recognizable and also that no other band could have it. Why we end up with such a weird name? Most probably cause’ we were quite drunk haha

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Death Metal is our favorite extreme metal genre, I guess. However, it is not something that we force us to do but it is just what it comes out when we write music. We drink from several music genres and what we do is the convolution of all these influences.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The line-up has had several changes since it was formed hehe. Some of us are former members that were already friends and some others joined the band later coming from other bands. The “core” hasn’t changed in the last 15 years so we have become a little family.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Too many to list I am afraid that here you are some of them: Dark Tranquillity, Opeth, Soziedad Alkoholika, Death, At the Gates, Behemoth, Carcass, Sepultura, Decapitated...

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

That’s a difficult one. If I was with a nice drinking-glass of wine I'd say, after a long silence, “Satan” haha… Music is very important in our lives. It is a way of expressing of our feelings, beliefs , and anxiety. Not only because of the lyrics but the music or even the way we play our instruments or sing. Writing music can be a bit frustrating sometimes but when things go well it is such an amazing feeling!

6. Where was your last gig?

Sadly, a long time ago in Barcelona.

7. Where would you like to act?

We’d like to act in some of those big festivals we dream since we were youngsters such as Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Resurrection fest... but being honest, that’s actually a quite difficult thing. Our next goal is to touring through Europe once the pandemic is over. We hope the new album “Arrelats” can open us some doors to finally jump to those big festivals!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of our favorite bands would be fucking great! Feature with someone you admire it is amazing indeed but sometimes it is a bit overrated. I mean, you’ll probably expect to become best friends forever and at the end you’ll be there trying it as hard as you can and acting as a big dumb.

9. Whom not?

Any fascist band.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I don’t think so. It is inevitable being a bit nervous before going into the stage and in fact, if you're not, there’s something wrong with you. Perform is something we really like so we feel quite comfortable doing it! We are not the ones to give advices but we’d say “do what you know how to do”.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Too many to list as well. From psychedelic 70’s rock to black metal.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

That’s a tough one. From growling sex to perform in a motorcycle club private party and once there, find a very hostile environment and even fear for our physical integrity.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We simply love them.

14. What do you think of our site?

Awesome! Sites like yours are the ones that are really keeping the scene.

15. Something add?

Thanks to Breathing the Core site for the interview and thanks to all the metal community. Hope you like our new album “Arrelats” and do not hesitate to visit our media sites if you want to get it! In these weird times, music and culture is the only thing keeping us alive. Support culture in any of his forms and stay safe.
