Behind The Artworks: Infernalizer - The Ugly Truth (2021)

Had this artwork sitting around for really a long time. It dates back to 2006 and it was originally intended for the re-release of the “Mind Tricks” album by Disarmonia Mundi. Despite looking absolutely killer it was considered too bloody and never used, so when the time came to conceive the artwork for the Infernalizer record I thought “Wait a minute, I've got the perfect artwork for this”. And actually it is the perfect artwork for this album: the clown, portrayed by me, looks like the spiritual stepchild of both Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street series and Pennywise from Stephen King's IT and considering that the whole record is a sort of sonic tribute to horror movies from the 80s I couldn't have asked for anything more appropriate. It also reminds me of the vinyls I used to listen to when I was a kid, so I'd really love to release a vinyl version of this album later along the way.
