Behind The Tracks: ELESSAR - Vices (Single) (2021)

I wrote this track when I was going through a moment of reflection on a previous relationship that had become very toxic and addictive over the course of two years. The guys only had the opening riff written at the time and I wanted to come in on a line that would draw attention and then let the music do the talking. Whilst writing the verses I wanted to acknowledge how easy it is to get caught up in routines and things you probably shouldn’t be doing. So VICES became the perfect title for the track. We all have them, we all have different ways of dealing with them. In some ways I hope this track can be something other people relate to in a time of need.
