Interviews: Chaostate

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Deathcore band,
Chaostate from Australia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We are an anonymous band born out of the pandemic, forced to use technology as a release in a tumultuous and uncertain time. Chaostate is an apt description of not only this idea, but also our mentalities, and society at large.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We’re angry and you should be too.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Most of us - no. We have never met in person.

4. Each band member favourite band?

M.G — VOCALS -- Asking Alexandria

B.M — GUITAR -- Intervals

D.S.O — GUITAR -- Bring Me The Horizon

J.P.G — BASS -- Invent, Animate

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We are this world, and we capture our reactions to it.

6. Where was your last gig?

Never played one. We are exclusively an online project - something we think is very indicative of the current state of the music industry.

7. Where would you like to act?

Online domination.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Fit For A King, Brand of Sacrifice, Vildjharta, Humanity’s Last Breath, Lorna Shore.

9. Whom not?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Just be an online band.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The deathcore scene is rife with repetition. We draw a lot from the prog scene and the hip hop scene, funnily enough, to push the genre forward borrowing from unconventional song structures and rhythmic ideas.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Our identities.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We’re all in this together.

14. What do you think of our site?

Absolutely legendary site run by a bunch of legends.

15. Something to add?

More Chaostate coming your way very soon.
