Interviews: Magg Dylan


On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Magg Dylan from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Suzanne De Iulio: We were tossing around names, I said Magdalene, as in Mary Magdalene, then someone said “Magg Dylan” kind of like Matt Dillon because we’re Outsiders, and Magg Dylan was it!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Brucifer Jordan: The diversity of the music allows us to be heavy and emotional. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Bruce and Suzanne met in November of 2017 and started writing in December, We met Les in December 2018 and Adam when we toured with Hed PE.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Adam Hoye: Motionless in White

Brucifer: It is impossible for me to pick a favorite.

Les: Nothing More

Suzanne: Fleetwood Mac

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Brucifer Jordan: My life experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

Suzanne De Iulio: Our last gig was 3/27/2021 at Elevation 27 opening for a Metallica tribute band. Do you have a tour schedule to share?

Suzanne De Iulio: Blue Ridge Rock Festival

8. Whom would you like to tour or work with?

Suzanne De Iulio: There's so many but Halestorm, Sevendust, Tool, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, The Pretty Reckless. 

9. Whom not?

Suzanne De Iulio: We can't think of anyone we wouldn't want to tour or work with.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Suzanne De Iulio: Almost every single show. I haven't beat it yet, but I prepare, breathe and make sure I connect with my bandmates before we start.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Brucifer Jordan: Failure & Deftones.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We can't think of anything that weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Suzanne De Iulio: Most of our fans are friends, or friends we haven't met yet.

14. What do you think of our site?

Suzanne De Iulio: Impressive. It is so organized and very cool.
