Behind The Artworks: Parrilla - Femme Fatale (2021)

Chris was getting heavily into his Photography so we wanted to create something quiet abstract that wasn’t a drawing but wasn’t just a photo which would also look great so the first part of the idea was to get a heart from a local butchers, it was supposed to be a pig heart but no one had any so we went ahead and got a few lamb hearts. The 2nd step was to get a water tank as we wanted the heart to be submerged in water, linking into the title track and it’s message of drowning in a seemingly inescapable situation. We then submerged other objects, one of them being the skulls that you see in all of the covers, the only images that were stock footage is the desert of the EP cover and sea floor in the Show Me single.
