Interviews: Kade Storm

We have had the opportunity to interview the Extreme Metal/Doom  Metal/Black Metal artist Kade Storm from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Being a solo project, I just took the easy route and kept my own name for the project.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It's largely about the atmosphere and heaviness that one finds between the Doom and Black Metal genres.

3. Favourite band?

I have numerous bands and artists that occupy that spot, and will likely fail to adequately list them all. I'll just say that all these bands fall firmly within the Extreme Metal umbrella.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I'd say personal circumstances and reading material.

5. Where was your last gig?

With this project, I've never considered doing live work.

6. Where would you like to perform?

Bloodstock and Wacken come to mind, or even smaller gigs at places like the Camden Underworld, but again, I haven't considered live work with this project.

7. Whom would you like to perform with?

This also falls into having to pick a favourite artist or band. The list would be monumental and would also require consideration because not all collaborations work out in practice.

8. Whom not?

I think the same answer as above. Sometimes, it may well be a band that makes sense in theory but probably isn't a good idea in practice.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I've don't the odd filling in of guitar duties on a friend's project, and I was masked, which added a layer of separation from the entire process. That could help.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

It's down the the scene and the numerous bands within said scene. Extreme Metal is a start, but quite a bit of inspiration to be had from European Black Metal, Doom Metal, Death Metal and Thrash Metal.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Can't say. Haven't had that ... privilege.

12. What do you think of your fans?

They certainly know what they like and enjoy, and I hold great regard for their support.

13. What do you think of our site?

I think it's a credit to the broader scene. You guys help build a following and connect creators to their following. It's much appreciated.

14. Something to add?

Thanks for the opportunity. If heavy and dark atmospheric music is of interest, give my latest LP, Ascension, a listen. It's also getting a physical CD release via Narcoleptica Productions. I'll throw in the obligatory links below.
