Behind The Artworks: Spectral Darkwave - At Outer Dark (2021)

The cover captures our encounter with our Lord Cthulu beyond the furthest spiral arm of this galaxy. We sought to join with him, sampling but a fraction of his power. This resolution to this moment of misadventure can be heard in the epic, final song of the album 'At Outer Dark'.

The artwork captures our struggle on the bridge was always the image that drove the album – the unresolved climax of the album itself. It was created by the amazing Petr Polach of Apterus Graphics taking our memory of the event drawn down and him enhancing it with his amazing eye for composition, light and colour. It is better than I ever imagined.
