Behind The Artworks: Carlista Garcia - A Beautiful World (2021)

Shooting the cover art for “A Beautiful World” turned out to be a serendipitous affair. One of my neighbors happened to have a brother in town from New York who was a photographer, the phenomenal Rich Krissel. My other neighbors had a gorgeous magnolia tree in their backyard, and allowed me to shoot there, so the whole thing was highly convenient. The cover was designed by fellow YoungArts alum Lainey Wood, who also directed the “My Love, My Love, My Love” music video. My vision for the cover was to be standing under the magnolia tree, and it was magical to see it come to life.
