Interviews: The Lost Knights

We have had the opportunity to interview the Modern Rock band The Lost Knights from Australia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or come out just like that?

The Lost Knights were formed from the breaking up of two other bands. We all came together with a little lost but excited to continue to pursue music. We are also all huge fans of anything medieval-like Lord of the Rings. It is also representative of being one band in the midst of an army of bands all thriving for success and being lost within the pursuit of music.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We never chose our genre, we just wrote the music that came naturally to us and although we have grown and our sound has changed a little of the years, we have never forced something that we weren't.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Terry and Jesse are actually cousins but the band knew Daniel before he joined when the band member's previous bands used to play shows together. There was an instant connection!

4. Each band member favourite band?

We all listen to a variety of music but our all-time favourites are: Mayday Parade (Jesse), Hellions (Terry) and The Amity Affliction (Daniel).

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our music comes from a variety of sources whether it be from our life experiences, the life experiences of our friends and families or even occasionally the life experiences of others.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last official gig was with Valhalore in the Sunny Coast which was so much fun! We love those legends!

7. Where would you like to perform?

Eaton's Hill is a band favourite so we would love to perform there again! That and Riverstage!!!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There are some amazing Aussie bands making waves that we would love to work with! Our dream bands would be Bring Me the Horizon, Mayday Parade, Hellions, Hilltop Hoods!

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

None of us have ever really experienced stage fright but here are some words from Terry: Imagine everyone is Nathan. Sorry, Siri didn't pick up my words properly... I said imagine everyone is naked! Although I have a cousin named Nathan and it would be fun to play to a room full of Nathan clones!

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mayday Parade, Bring Me The Horizon, Hellions, Linkin Park to name a few!

11. What do you think of our site?

It is so easy to navigate through your website but most importantly, we are just so excited to be given the opportunity to interview with you!
