The artwork was made by Brian Mercer, Brian has done numerous pieces of art (Shirts, Posters, Illustrations) for bands such as Lamb of God, Testament, Alice in Chains, etc.

So the Cover Art is an explosion, death is all around and in the middle, there’s the Lord of Damnation who tries to hold all of it together. On the upper corner, there is a demon, which symbolizes the evil in mankind.
