Interviews: Aura

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal band Aura from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name came a bit by chance during a rehearsal of many years ago, a person present after hearing us play for the first time told us "in this room there is a particular aura", so we decided to use it as a name since at the time we didn't have one

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The way we play is not programmed, so I would not know how to give you an answer, it is certainly the result of everything we have assimilated musically speaking in our childhood.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We had known each other for years because we lived in the same small town, among other things the bassist and the guitarist are cousins.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Our favorite bands are those related to our adolescence: Deep Purple, Yes, Queen, Rush, Kansas, P.F.M., Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Slayer, Pink Floyd, in addition to these we certainly like completely different bands and genres also pop. We don't focus on a specific genre.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The source of inspiration is usually given by what surrounds us both at an environmental level and therefore closer, and from what strikes us in the world, but sometimes we find inspiration from stories, books.

6. Where was your last gig?

In recent years, very little has been played due to the pandemic. the last gig was done this summer in a town near ours while we were in the studio completing the latest stuff on the new record

7. Where would you like to act?

Practically everywhere hahaha, it is important that the places are welcoming to have good contact with the public.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Hard to say but definitely, someone who likes our music hahaha

9. Whom not?

We have no problem doing this. As long as they are respectful people and we want to have fun together

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

No, no suffering, obviously there is a bit of adrenaline and tension before entering, but you have to let go of your fears and have fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All those who play big events ahahahahah

12. What do you think of your fans?

Fans are something very important to bands, they are our fuel

13. What do you think of our site?

We find your site very interesting, the way you place yourself with the bands, in the most collaborative and polite sense possible. From decades of experience, we can assure you that things have changed a lot in recent years and we are noticing that many are losing their passion. From your work, there is a great passion. Well done.

14. Something to add?

A big thank you to your portal for giving us this opportunity, we thank all the supporters and those who followed us in this chat. If I wanted to keep you updated on us you can follow us on all Facebook, Instagram, youtube, or even on Spotify channels.
