Interviews: Die Ghost

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Horror Punk band, Die Ghost from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We landed on Die Ghost because it was two cool words put together and we liked how it flowed.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love horror, the Misfits, and punk rock. We decided to put the punk in Horrorpunk.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Kind of. A couple of the members were roommates that met on Craigslist that had a common interest and decided to form the band with another friend in the punk scene.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

It’s safe to say we all love the Misfits a Danzig but our personal interests span from punk to metal.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Horror movies mostly and the desire to create our horrific stories.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played a couple rad shows in a row. One was at Minnesota’s Horror Convention, Crypticon, which is always a blast to go to and play! And the other was with Ripsnorter celebrating our Split release of Wendigo.

7. Where would you like to act?

It will never happen but if we could play Triple Rock Social Club again that would rule they closed and are gone for good.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Another band in the horror punk scene that we love is Blitzkid. It’d be pretty rad to do a show with them.

9. Whom not?

Michale Graves. That guy sucks.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. If you practice the shit out of your songs and rehearse as a band frequently, you’ll get through it and all you’ll have to think about is moving a little on stage so you don’t bore people.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Misfits, Danzig, Bad Religion, Left Over Crack, and Joe Wood’s TSOL era.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If they can have our socks!

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans. What’s cool about punk and Horror fans is that they are not fake. When they say they like you they mean it and they always show up and have fun with us.

14. What do you think of our site?

Clean and easy to read! The blog posts pop out and there’s a ton of attention to detail around the bands being promoted.

15. Something to add?

We just finished up our next album and are working on finalizing the artwork and record labels to release it on. It rules and sounds amazing, so we encourage everyone to give us a like and follow on our Socials and keep an eye out for what we do next!
