Interviews: Saved By Skarlet

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band, Saved By Skarlet from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Why did you want to play this genre?

We as a band all feel strength and joy when rocking out to hard rock and metalcore. Aiming for more technical instrumental pieces is something that provides a sense of accomplishment to us as musicians when done well.

2. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Lead vocalist Nate Middleton and lead guitarist Matt Middleton knew each other since they are brothers, however the band's drummer Adam Chenier and second guitarist Alex Hare were found over the internet after Saved By Skarlet had already been formed.

3. Each band member's favorite band?

Lead vocalist Nathan's favorite band is Erra, Matthew's favorite band is Wage War, Adam's favorite band is Avatar, and Alex's favorite band is Slipknot.

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The band as a whole has been faith-driven with the message in our music. God's saving grace in a painful world inspired us to write deep music and positive hard rock/metalcore after each of us in our own way experienced Him in our own lives. Now, the band uses positive music to greatly impact the lives of others, both onstage and offstage.

5. Where was your last gig?

Soulfest Music Festival in New Hampshire (U.S.)

6. Where would you like to act?

We would love to perform at Blue Ridge Rock Festival next year 2023, that would be a dream come true for us!

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be an incredible opportunity to feature with Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire or John Cooper of Skillet.

8. Whom not?

We would never want to feature with a radio pop artist LOL! Too mainstream.

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

When first starting to perform there were instances where our vocalists throat would get tight, our guitarist would forget certain parts of the lines, and our drummer would miss a beat, but we worked hard to perfect our skills at home and in band practices to become as tight as possible as a team. Our suggestion is to not give up, practice as much as possible, and have a good attitude about the entire learning experience.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Skillet, Avatar, Memphis May Fire, and Wolves At The Gate.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A Granny Smith apple!

12. What do you think of your fans?

We wincerely love and care about our fans. Both their physical and emotional needs/desires. We spend time talking with them, sharing stories with them, sharing merch and even financial support when possible for those in need. We do everything we can to be a light in their lives.

13. What do you think of our site?

It looks professional and proficient! We love it.
