Interviews: Less Than Three

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal/Modern Metal band, Less Than Three from Finland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

An old inside joke that stuck.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We were born in it, molded by it. Nah but seriously, it's not like we just picked a genre we thought was good and started playing. Our style is just a definition of inspirational factors that pass through our brain filter as such.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some knew some didn't, but the people in the band have always known each other on some level. So, in a way, yes.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Everyone who reads this question understands that it is easier to give an answer to the question of what is the purpose of life. Which by the way is 42, but I'm still going to answer Pantera. From behalf of everyone. Mikko wanted to add Napalm Death. Granted.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

You know the whole thing, what music we listen to, what mood we're in, how much beer costs, what movies we watch, games we play, concerts we watch, instruments we play. It can be a ball that drops on the floor and the rhythm fascinates you to make a riff. That's the salt of the whole thing.

6. Where was your last gig?

Hämeenlinna, Finland, Suistoklubi May 29, 2015 so it's been too long. We love gigging, so we'll start as soon as possible. In traditional all-in style.

7. Where would you like to act?

I mean, everywhere I guess, we're not going to complain, well maybe not at your favorite pizza hut, but let's bring up Europe, America, and festivals. All combined or separately. Works.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

You really can't say anything specific because the range of artists we like and appreciate is huge. A boring answer, but the most important thing is that whoever we perform with is together a great show for the audience.

9. Whom not?

Let's approach this with a joke and hope that the naughty question goes away. Maybe GG Allin, that dude had a weird romantic relationship with his own excrement that doesn't necessarily fascinate us.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Maybe at the very beginning, but I wouldn't call it fear, there is always a kind of excitement that is only a good thing! Intro, you come on stage, excited, the first few chords, and that adrenaline rush arrives. Addictive! Advice for beginners? I feel like a grandpa now. You've practiced the songs, people have come to dig you, and everyone is here to have fun, try to free yourself and think you're doing your best, go full steam ahead. As I mentioned before, a few notes and you're already in full swing.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

If I say one it's too defining, if more than one, there would be a million of them. So, since the music we listen to doesn't determine the style we play, I'd say the answer is still Pantera.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I think kids can read these questions so let's answer this politically as best we can. Once, a fine strapping not-so-young lad wanted an autograph for his exceptionally notable hairy bum from our singer Mikko.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The best, most dedicated, interested, supportive, most beautiful, and handsome there is, spreading like a virus, watch out!

14. What do you think of our site?

You are doing exactly the work that music needs today. In other words, you create an opportunity for bands to come forward. Thank you. It's incredibly difficult these days, even if you might not believe it right away. Interesting and full of good content!

15. Something to add?

Well thank you for this interview, keep up the great work and we hope to hear more from you! To all of you who are still reading this, Thank You! If you wish you can update yourself through these links:
