As an artist, you’re expected to be high energy and constantly stand out, which were characteristics about myself that I was made to be ashamed of growing up. Now not only am I trying to please the masses, but I’m trying to meet my own standards and expectations. In the “Are You Impressed?” music video, we wanted to exhibit that cycle.
