Interviews: BAR II

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Indie Rock band, BAR II from Belgium. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

You can think that music can be heard in a bar too… But no, to us, it’s a turning page. A second bar of this life score is for us and for what we think to be humanity. It’s a musical metaphor to say “what is next?”…for now it’s BAR II.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It always has been our kind of expression… saturation, and punch, we listen to this genre so it is the most natural for us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes we know each other for maybe 10 years, we talked about music a lot, and one day we said… why not try something together??

4. Each band member's favorite band?

The Beatles and Arctic monkeys.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Qotsa a lot but also Viagra boys and Banksy, our anger, and Tarantino.

6. Where was your last gig?

BAR II is for now more a studio project but who knows 😉We’d love to open for bands such as Royal Blood or The Blue Stones

7. Where would you like to perform?

Anywhere even in the Metaverse

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Great bands with powerful songs

9. Whom not?

Boys bands

10. Have any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Nope, even if we haven’t played live for BAR II, both of us already did live shows in various bands and live is such a thrill!!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Qotsa, Royal blood, Soulwax, Radiohead, Bluestone, Beatles, and the list

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

13. What do you think of your fans?

They have good taste.
