Interviews: ELECTRON

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, ELECTRON from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We needed a name that could describe the rebellion and the ferocity of this band… Something bold. Electrons are particles known for their energy and when they collide, they resist and bounce away from each other.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It was intrinsically natural. It never was premeditated, we just capture our energy and the way we play our instruments.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we’ve been long-term friends for almost 6 years.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Jason: Pantera

Joanna: Rammstein

Nuno: Led Zeppelin

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life experiences, things were going through, and all the artists we love, from old school RocknRoll to the most extreme modern metal bands.

6. Where was your last gig?

St.Moritz Club in London.

7. Where would you like to play?

Lots of places, but if we had to pick one, it would be the Rock Am Ring (Germany).

8. Who would you like to support?

There are just so many great artists that inspire us to do what we love the most… Very hard to pick one, but probably Metallica because of what they represent in the history of Heavy Music.

9. Who not?

Nobody really, ahah.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

All of us get extremely excited when we’re performing. However, sometimes every now and then an artist can feel a bit nervous before running the set. It’s important to know why you’re doing this, and what it means to you, and not be afraid to share your message with new faces.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Metallica, Alter Bridge, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Pantera, and the list goes on and on…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

There once was this guy who asked for a picture and then started preaching to us, why he believes rock music died and what could save it… He ended up giving me his bracelet (which for some reason I still have), jumped away and I’ve never seen him again.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are very thankful to have people who’ve been supporting us, no matter what. Always there, headbanging with smiles on their faces - and that’s the reason we do what we do. We want to bring joy and give people a good time with our music. 

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s a true metal temple. We love the way you guys promote upcoming bands and give everyone an opportunity to share a bit about themselves.

15. Something to add? 

We can’t wait to finish our debut record and show it to the world! It’s something we’ve been working on for quite a while, and we’re super proud of the journey we took part in.
