Interviews: ETERNAL RETURNS

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, ETERNAL RETURNS from India. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

When we started off a decade ago we just wanted a name that was not already taken and had an Indian element added to it. Eternal Returns signifies that the universe is reoccurring and will continue to do so

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Initially, It was an outlet to release all the energy of a teenager, but slowly as we developed a taste and an ear it grew on us to a point that it became a part of us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, Harsh and I lived in the same locality for years but never crossed paths its only when a common friend introduced us that we came to know that we share the same passion for Metal Music and we jammed. Viktor who lives in Ukraine, I believe has a karmic connection with us to be part of the journey. Thanks to Instagram algorithm we found him and were blown away by his skills.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Viktor – Archspire

Harsh – Bullet for my Valentine

Narendra – Silent Civilian

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Anything and everything which moves us a certain way is jotted down. Our lyrics are a big part of music delivery and we like telling stories.

6. Where was your last gig?

Mumbai: Above the Habitat (United we Groove) Pre-Covid

7. Where would you like to act?

Anyone who is willing to put us on the bill. We are keen to explore opportunities in European

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of our favorite bands would be the coolest thing

9. Whom not?

None actually as we won’t be part of the song we do not like.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes, we have and it’s part of the game. Some butterflies are good but in the first 30 seconds settle down to have a great show, and understand that people have come to see you. Our advice would be to practice / Jam to an extent where it’s all muscle memory. Envision yourself in front of a huge crowd it will all come to life. Be a dreamer.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Arschspire, Bullet for my Valentine, Silent Civilian, Iron Maiden, Cradle of Filth, Trivium, and many more
